MY HYBRID ANTENNAS FOR 1296 MHZ
As the following data shows, four stacked hybrid antennas, six meter long each, give something closely to 30 dBi – what corresponds to a parabolic reflector antenna of 3.0 metres in diameter.
Why the serious hams are always using dishes instead yagi or loop parasitic arrays? Maybe the dish is easier to install and to handle with? Or there are no yagi/quad models enough to choose from.
Anyway, I hope someone will choose one of my models to buid and to share his experience with all of us.
Every model in the Table is made of silverplated copper wire Ø1.5 mm. This should be the best material: easy to measure, cut and solder, good conductor, protected against weather. Unlike 144 MHz antennas, elements of 23 cm hybrid antennas looks like ridiculously small, therefore precision is a must, specially for yagi elements.
The following photo shows a CuAg oblong element, made by YU7AA, as a part of six meter long oblong antenna. YU7AA is very satisfied with this antenna.
The next photo shows an oblong element made for a 70 cm hybrid antenna, just to give idea how it can be built.
Here is the table with my hybrid antennas for 1296 MHz. You can click on hyperlink of a particular antenna if you want to see all details for this antenna.

Notes:
Maybe you want to build such an antenna with a different diameter of silver plated wire. Please, just send me an e-mail and I will make the wanted design.
