DK4DDS on holiday in the USA 2005
As a very young child I was already impressed by technology.
When I was 3 years old I
could already screw connectors on to electrical wire.
In 1964 I started with
my first attemps building radios.
The first receiver was a diode detector receiver with germanium diode.
In that time home brew was not a choice but a necessity!!!!
In 1970 I passed for my C License (License with out CW only for 144 MHz and higher).
My first project was the construction of fully transitorized (solid state) 10 watt 2 meter
ssb transceiver.
In 1972 I passed with
success for the cw test and got my A License.
Since that time I have concentrated my self mainly on the HF bands with home brew projects
and several kits (Heath Kit)
HOME BREW mechanical
constructions and electronic projects are parts of our hobby I enjoy the most.
At this moment I concentrating my self on Amateur Digital Communication Technology.
I enjoy also technical discussions with other radio friends .
My other interests are: old radio equipment, Old Timer cars, PC Technology, Music (blues) and our Dogs.
