Connect a 137-138 MHz receiver to the soundcard of your PC , record the signal of the satellite as a wave-file , use decode software and finally you have nice images. Difficult ? Just try.In case of trouble contact me

What do you need for this ?

My Turnstile Antenna Project, Sensitivity plot of my Turnstile antenna

Receiver , 137 MHz receiver with 40 kHz bandwidth

PC with a soundcard , if possible with a serial port

Software to record the audio signal of the satellite

Software to decode the audio signal (as wave-file) into a image

Access to internet for downloading the software and the latest Kepler-data .

  • SATELLITES

    The following NOAA-satellites are active with APT (status on 01-jan-2008) :

    NOAA-15 , transmit frequency is 137.5000 MHz

    NOAA-17 , transmit frequency is 137.6200 MHz

    NOAA-18 , transmit frequency is 137.1000 MHz

    Check the actual satellite-status at NOAASIS.
