One of my old QSL-cards showed a beautiful paddle, which is handmade by Valery, RA1AOM, from St.Petersburg/Russia. He designes and builds paddles, straight keys and other stuff as a hobby. The first one is mounted on a solid metal block, but Val also uses marble or other stone-materials. The QSL of UA3AO shows some more of his high-precision works, followed by his MAESTRO-paddle which is built on jaspis-stone and uses magnets to move the paddle back. On the other pictures you see the proud constructor, his new QSL-card and a number of different paddles on a block of "obsidian" (a volcanic silica glass) as well as a new straight-key by Valery. Auf meiner früheren QSL-Karte war eine wunderschöne Morsetaste (Paddle) zu sehen, die von Valery, RA1AOM, aus St.Petersburg/Russland in Handarbeit hergestellt wird. Er entwirft und baut Morsetasten aller Art als Hobby. Dieses Paddle hat einen schweren, lackierten Metallblock als Basis, Valery benutzt aber auch gerne Marmor und andere polierte Mineralsteine.
